April, 2019 Silversea unveils new Details of Silver Origin, the first destination-specific ship, the cruise company, which will allow starting in the summer of 2020 deep travel experiences for guests in the Galapagos Islands. As one of the most environmentally friendly cruise ships of all times, and complete with a view on these unique Islands are developed, the Silver Origin to combine the local destination expertise of Silversea with the characteristic level of luxury of the cruise company, to offer guests the ultimate destination experience.
Starting in the summer of 2020 the 100 people will build the end, fully-equipped Silver Origin of the Know-how of Silversea on the Galapagos Islands, in order to create deeper Connections between the guests and the destination target. The beautiful Observation Lounge is located on the front of the ship and offers to the guests an elegant retreat with incredible views. Silver Origin will have eight different types of suites on Board, in order to offer guests the highest level of comfort – the largest of them, the Owner's Suite, providing unparalleled views of the surrounding area. All suites have a private patio, while some Suite categories on an innovative horizon balcony that can be reshaped so that it encloses the balcony with a floor-to-ceiling window for more space and better protection from the elements. In addition, selected Suite categories, a bath with sea views, and a shower with a sea view that is from the balcony for the guests easily and comfortably accessible.
Experienced local chefs take guests on a journey of culinary discoveries in the two Restaurants of the Silver Origin. Guests get the opportunity to delve deeper into the Ecuadorian culture: In "The Restaurant" and "The Grill" can be accommodated all the guests. Authentic flavors, fresh, local ingredients and regional wines will complement the international cuisine to delight the palate of the guests and to present the Best of the Ecuadorian culinary heritage in refined environments. Silver Origin will be one of the most environmentally friendly cruise ships ever built, thanks to the latest technology and solutions that have been specifically designed for sailing in the Galapagos Islands: The dynamic positioning system of the ship allows the Silver Origin, the Position will automatically maintain in order to protect the sea floor; fresh water cleaning systems, which are installed in each Suite, will enable the vessel to reduce the consumption of single-use plastic bottles; an advanced wastewater treatment system will meet the most stringent requirements in the market or exceed; and the Silver Origin will meet the highest Standards of energy efficiency in this Segment.
